Purpose Jobs integrates with Greenhouse to ensure you're able to export candidates directly to jobs within your ATS account. Using this integration, users will be able to source, access, engage, and track candidates exported from your Purpose Jobs account.
Configure User Setup Permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting
In order to enable the Greenhouse/Purpose Jobs integration, you will need the developer permission ‘Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials’. If you do not have this permission, you will need to contact a Greenhouse user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions and the additional user-specific permission, ‘Can edit another user's advanced permissions’. This individual will be able to grant you the API credential management permission necessary to setup the integration.
Have the user with Site Admin level permissions edit your user account's permissions by navigating to the ‘Configure’ icon > ‘Users’ > ‘Your Name’.
From there, the user with Site Admin level permissions should navigate to the Permissions panel on your user page and expand the Developer Permissions dropdown menu.
They should select ‘Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials’ so that a check is in the checkbox. When finished, click ‘Save’.
Repeat as necessary for any other user that should have access to set up the integration.
Establishing an API Key
Log into your Greenhouse account and navigate to the ‘Configure’ gear icon in the top right navigation bar. Select ‘Dev Center’ in the left-hand navigation and select ‘API Credential Management’ from the list of available options.
Select ‘Create New API Key’ and add a name in the ‘Description’ box. In the ‘Type’ dropdown select ‘Harvest’, and under ‘Client Application’ select ‘Purpose Jobs’ from the list:
To finalize your selections, simply press ‘Manage Permission’. Once the new API Key has been generated, select the ‘Copy’ button. This information will be used to configure the integration in your Purpose Jobs account settings.
Under "Manage Permissions", select all and click "Save."
Configuring the Integration
After logging into your Purpose Jobs account, navigate to ‘Account Settings’ in the bottom left-hand panel, and then select ‘Integrations’ from the list.
Paste the API Key from Greenhouse into the ‘API Key’ Field, then add your email address below. To finish the configuration, simply click the blue ‘Add Integration’ button.
After setting up the integration, go back to your account dashboard and click on "Import Jobs." This will sync all active positions on your career site with your Purpose Jobs company page and account. The import jobs model (seen below) will pop up. Turn on the jobs you want to make live on Purpose Jobs -- to save click "Import" at the bottom of the model.
Once your jobs are imported they will say "connected" - though there is still one more step to do in each job description.
Click on edit next to each position that is live on your company page and from the "Connect Greenhouse Job" section select the external/published role for each specific position. This is set up the asynchronous flow of candidates into your Greenhouse. Click "Save" once all sections are filled out correctly.
You can now interact with the candidate profile as you typically would within Greenhouse, and move them through your interview plan accordingly!
